For the first time ever, South Side Story comes to Pune on 22nd August, and the line-up is every bit worth the wait.

Leading it is Shobana, the Padma Bhushan awardee and the unforgettable face of Manichitrathazhu, whose performances feel cinematic, spiritual, and deeply moving all at once. Joining her is Karthik, the voice behind Behka and Ava Enna, who has soundtracked heartbreaks, road trips, and weddings across generations and languages. Some voices entertain. His stays with you.

Then the tempo shifts.Avial arrives with their genre-bending Malayalam rock, the kind of electric-guitar madness you can hear from miles away The Raghu Dixit Project brings the "Shakkar" rush, blending Kannada folk with global sound and turning strangers into a single chorus. And Tribemama Marykali, the Kerala-born, Nigeria-raised indie force, closes the circle with her Afro-funk-meets-Malayali sound and high-energy, unapologetically feminist live sets.

Five artists. Five completely different reasons to be there. Classical grace, playback nostalgia, rock chaos, folk warmth, and indie fire, all on one stage, in one city, for the very first time.
