YEAR 4 - 2022

Red FM organized season four of ‘The Ultimate South Indian Experience Festival’ a.k.a ‘South Side Story.’ People from all walks of life came in traditional South Indian attire to celebrate the various ingredients of the South that make the region so full of flavor. Escalating from two artists to nine, Street Academics, Thirumali, Lagori, Sithara’s Project Malabaricus, Job Kurian, Arivu, Agam, Thaikkudam Bridge and Avial; this year’s South Side Story was grander in vision and in execution. The crowd relished the day with chilled drinks and over thirty food items served on a banana leaf (the largest Sadhya spread). A South Indian mela that was intended to bring communities together witnessed a plethora of emotions.

YEAR 3 - 2021

In the limitations of the pandemic, the team of South Side Story embarked on this journey to provide the most sought-after entertainment to the audiences in the comfort of their homes. The digital festival included three stages, multiple artists and various engaging segments. The food was delivered, and viewers were on an interactive celebratory and shopping spree.

We are back again, this time on-ground. So iron the Mundu’s and Kasavu’s & get ready to witness the fourth & festive season of The South Side Story.

YEAR 2 - 2020

The pandemic hit us all, the world was locked away. Amongst all this gloom the south side story team decided to fight back by spreading good vibes, shifted the experience online. The online edition included a quick course in great cocktails along with delectable dishes imparted by known chefs and mixologists. Sadhya was delivered to our festival participants.

YEAR 1 - 2019

One afternoon, like-minded individuals from 93.5 Red FM were discussing the cool side of south Indian music and food. After a long enthusiastic exchange over innumerable cups of kaapi, an idea was born. It was a festival to celebrate food, culture, and music from down south, it was year 1 for South Side Story which kick started in Mumbai and concluded in Delhi, was headlined by mighty Thaikuddum Bridge & Agam.
